In this workshop, Jesse will share about the very roots of navigation. Not just the how but the why. From the lead, to Longitude, cartography and timekeeping at sea. This workshop discusses Celestial Navigation as one of the components of what we now call traditional navigation. As the class progresses, we will be on our feet, constructing lead lines, logs and drawing our own charts and taking the mystery out of wayfinding at sea. This is a dynamic class of mixed hands on and discussion. Each participant will leave with their own hand made lead lone, speed log and other handout materials.
