Sail Repair

Service Description

This sail repair workshop is a practical hands on class. We will be making grommets from three strand, stitching them in, making patches, laying on leather, and mending tears, using numerous methods. The aim of this workshop is to increase the independence and confidence of sailors to solve their own sail mending challenges, at least well enough to make port. Each participant will leave with a basic sail repair kit, including needles, thread, palm and patch materials as a start to their onboard kit.
